Submit Filter or Variables while calling 0PUBLISHING_TEMPLATE

Hi,

when using the Tool to create a view which is based on a defintion the Web Application Designer calls the Template 0PUBLISHING_TEMPLATE with the selected query. Like this:

https://<BW-URL>BEx?sap-language=EN&bsplanguage=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=0PUBLISHING_TEMPLATE&INFOCUBE=PPROC_TNE&QUERY=<selected Query>

But some querys are very big so that it takes very long to load or sometimes it ends up with the message "The page cannot be displayed".

Is there any way to reduce the amount of data when calling this template? I thought of submitting variables or filters.

Best Regards

Sascha

You can have mandatory variables for those queries and when you execute the query in web the variable screen will be displayed for entering the variable values. This should help in reducing the amount of data.

    Thanks.
