    hello sudheer,

SAP MI client is a framework for offline mobile

applications and is based on Java. MI has some server

components that are used for data synchronization and

administration; and are executed on WAS (J2EE engine).

WAS knowledge is nic-to have but is not required. XI

is neither a prerequisite; it is a different component

    for integration processes.

If you have developed a web application then developing

an application on top of MI (Tomcat runtime) would be

easy. Here's the link to the MI documentation.

It will give you an idea of what MI is and its components.

If you are into client side development, check also

    the Mobile Development Kit (MDK).
