    hi kaki,

    1. while summing up the cell values in excel,

all those cells which have been selected

will obviously get CONSIDERED in summation.

that is the default behaviour and perfectly

    fine.

    2. are u trying to say something else or i have

    misunderstood your query?

    regards,

    amit m.

Look at the data type in the spreadsheet for the negative values (format cell). Are they different from the positive values? Are they character?

    hi kaki,

    1

i understood your problem. its happening

    exactly like that.

    2

the reason for this in excel is

    10 = numeric value

30- = text (excel is considering this as text

    because

    it is 30-

    and not -30

    )

    3

so if, thru our program we are able

to output the negative value in the format

    -30 (and not 30-)

    it will solve our problem

    4

i tried it thru alv downloading,

downloading internal table at the time

    of debugging.

    but it stil shows 30-.

    5

the real problem is that it is consiering

text. mean time, im also trying at myend

to get some smarter solution (instead of trying

to modify the report to show -30)

    hope the above helps.

    Hi,

while appending ypour values into Excel you need to do ..

    ******************

    move bsid_it-wrbtr to excel_it-wrbtr.

    write: bsid_it-wrbtr to excel_it-wrbtr currency bsid_it-waers.

    perform move_sign changing excel_it-wrbtr.

    &----

    *& Form move_sign

    &----

    • text

    ----

    • <--P_EXCEL_DETAIL_IT_WRBTR text

    ----

    FORM move_sign CHANGING p_amount.

    if p_amount ca '-'.

    replace '-' with '' into p_amount.

    concatenate '-' p_amount into p_amount.

    endif.

    ENDFORM. " move_sign

    This code will help you.

    Thanks.
