Calculation View Questions

Hello Experts,

I want to ask couple of questions regarding Calculation View.

1.) I have a single table on which I have created a projection and then it is connected to Aggregation and Semantics Node.

Now I need to create many calculated columns, so should I create calculated columns in projection node or aggregation node.

2.) Can we include Calculated columns in hierarchy?

Hi Rohit,

As rule of tumb do calculations as late as possible and do filtering as soon as possible.

Take your briefly described scenario if there are calculations you can move after aggregation (in a new node) it should be even better.

About hierarchy I'm in doubt if you can do it directly on calculation. I guess yes but read other day about attribute views must be used. Unfortunatelly, I'm without a system to test right now. Other colleagues may help you here, or even better, you can do it and post the feedback to community.
