Getting Data into BW via Function Module from R/3

Hi....

I have some text data in R/3 which can be retrieved via the function module READ_TEXT, by passing the required parameters.

I want to bring the retrieved data into a master data infoobject in BW.

Do I need to write a user-exit, which calls the function module and gets the data into BW?

If so, how would I do that? If anyone have the code and procedure, it would be helpful.

Pls explain.
