substitute functioanlity for a purchaser

Hi  ,

Please guide me how to do substitute functioanlity for purchasers.

SRM version : SRM 7.0

We are using only strategic sourcing and contract management in SRM. Procurmeent is not in SRM.

Requirement is : If one purchaser creates Rfx, other purchaser able to complete process behalf of him.

So Is there any specific configuration required for substitue or any deevlopment need? Please guide me.

Hi Viswanath,

If the other purchaser has similar roles then he should able to access and complete the RFX.

No Substitution is required.

Thank you for responding.

But here if purchaser1 creating RFX, for other purchasers there is no edit button. And also they are not able to complete the process.

What is team purchasing? is it available in SRM 7.0 ?

Please guide me on this.

Team Purchasing works as below

Use

As of SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) 7.0, you can use the team purchasing function. This function allows users to take a team shopping cart over from another user. As a prerequisite for a user to take over someone else’s team shopping cart, either the original requester or an administrator must nominate the user as a purchasing substitute.

You can use this function, for example, when employees are ill or on leave for a period of time, when employees leave the company, or when employees work in shifts and you want the purchasing process to continue without interruption.

Working with Team Shopping Carts

 When creating or changing a shopping cart, the requester can then select a checkbox that marks the shopping cart as a team shopping cart to allow his purchasing substitutes to process the cart. However, the task of managing purchasing substitutes can also be carried out centrally by a system administrator, depending on the settings you make in Customizing.

 Once a substitute has taken over a team shopping cart, he can perform the same activities as the original requester before the take-over. For example, he can edit the team shopping cart and create related confirmations.

 Information about who has taken over a shopping cart from another user and has processed it is displayed on the General Data area of the shopping cart under Document Changes: Display.

Finding Team Shopping Carts

The search mechanisms provided in the SAP NetWeaver Portal (simple search, advanced search, Personal Objects Worklist (POWL) search) also support the team purchasing function. Employees can use a predefinded POWL query for team shopping carts which allows them to find all team shopping carts and refine the search to find carts created by specific users.

Technical Requirements

You have to use the process-controlled workflow framework to use team purchasing. Team purchasing is not available with the application-controlled workflow framework.

Customizing

To allow users to create team shopping carts, you must enable the team purchasing function in Customizing for SAP Supplier Relationship Management under SRM Server  Cross-Application Basic Settings  Define Transaction Types, for the transaction type Shopping Cart (SHC). In this customizing activity, you can also decide whether all users or only administrators can define substitutes, and whether also members of different organizational units can substitute each other.

So Team Purchasing means it is for SC substitution not for bidders activities like for Rfx, Auction...

I have checked the roles but all are similar and also both purchasers are in same purchasing group. But RFX is not editable for other purchasers. I am not understanding where I have to check this?

In my landscape there is no procurement. Only strategic sourcing is using.  Now the requirement is  behalf other purchaser1 purchaser2 can complete the process of RFX.

Is the 2nd purchaser able to see the RFx of the 1st purchaser in document search?

Hi Manosij,

Yes...the Rfx, auctions all are visible to for every purchaser .They are able to display.  But there there is no edit button appearing for RFX's which are created by other purchasers.

So how I will make process RFX behalf of other purchaser's.
