Members,
In transaction CS12, we are noticing ABAP dumps for recursive BOMs in Quality and Production client, while in Development client recursive BOMs are displayed in CS12.
Question is, how DEV client is able to pull up recursive BOM data, while, Quality/Production client are having ABAP dumps.
Based on ABAP dump analysis, following keywords are suggested to find OSS notes, no concrete OSS note is identified associated with given issue
"TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" " " |
"SAPLMG21" or "LMG21U01" |
"MARA_ARRAY_READ" |
Note:
DEV/QGE/PGE are on ECC 6.0 (support package: SAPKH60505)
Hello
The short dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED happens when and internal table is too big and there is not enough memory.
Generally, this is caused by a huge BOM structure, in your case, this is probably because the recursiveness.
In order to avoid this dump you should restrict the explosion levels, pressing F5 and setting a value to the field "Explosion level".

Caetano,
In transaction CS12, after maintaining a value (say, 5) under field "Explosion level", system explodes first BOM level only, does not provide multi BOM level details.
Typically, our BOM structure are four BOM levels, currently for recursive BOMs, it is limiting for first level {after maintaining a 5 value in "Explosion level"}, remaining three levels are missing.
Thank you,
Arun
Members,
Recursive BOMs is not an issue in CS12, if numbers of components with recursive indicator set to less than 7 materials (an estimate) in the BOM. ABAP dumps are raised, if BOM components
with recursive indicator is >7.
In our system, BOM set up has 34 recursive components, which in turn causing ABAP dumps in different envirnoments (DEV,Q,PRD).
