Material Classification - R/3 Fields

Hi Guys,

I am looking for 2 fields in R/3 in '1CL_OMAT001' (Material Classification DataSurce). They are available in our Legacy system datasource. I don't see them in our current R/3 system though. What we need to find out is whether or not they have been defined a classification characteristics in R/3. They may be defined and we just haven't added them to the datasource or maybe they've never been defined in R/3. How do we find out?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

this is more of a MM analyst area.

look at MM trx-MM03, pick a material, and then choose the Classification screen to see if it has one.

Hi Gurus,

Data Source 1cl_omat001 is system generated data source. T-RSA3 check details of records avaialble in this data source.

For getting records in this data source we have to assign characterstics to this data source .

In R/3 configure a material with class (Class type 001 )assigned having classification charcterstics.

Edan, i tried MM03. i selected a Material and selected 'Classification view' in our Legacy system. In the next screen, i get a message (Last data screen reached. Do you want to exit this material?). I can see just the Material name and Base UofM behind the message. I cannot see other fields.

Kumar, i tried CL03 (Legacy system). I cannot look up any values for CLASS. We don't have subscription for 'BW Expert'. Is it possible for someone to send me 'Understand the R/3 Classification System and How to Extract Classification Data into BW' BWExpert document at Govind.Sehgal@gmail.com.

Any hep will be greatly appreciated.
