getting f4 help

code is written in javascript to get the valid values

in a table . once the value is selected from the table

table vanishes. to that extent it is working. now the value is to be populated on to the input field. but no event is actually getting triggered when the button on the window is pressed where we populated valid values.

how to achieve this? can i have somebody to answer this?

      HI Jawahar,

      A Welcome to SDN from me too.

      I assume you are talking about a server event that shall be raised when you click on the button.

      To do this, you can just use a htmlb:button with the onClick attribute.

      If you want to raise a JavaScript Event from the button, you can use onClientClick.

      If you want to raise a server event from JavaScript (for example, after you write the values from the F4-help into the inputFields), you can use <bsp:htmlbEvent> (avail. for Web AS 620 >= SP43 and Web AS 640 >= SP05) or you use an invisible button that you trigger with "your_button_id.click( )" from JavaScript.
