You can't use multiple valuation category for one material..

You can use multiple valuation type under one valuation category.

Suppose you have two valuation category Origin and Status.

Origin has two valuation types 1. Domestic and 2. Imported

And your Status has two valuation types 1. Refurbished and 2. Repairable.

Then you can create a new valuation category as Z and create 4 valuation type under this valuation category

1. Domestic-Refurbished

2. Imported-Refurbished

3. Domestic-Repairable

4. Imported-Repairable.

Then you can use valuation type as per your requirement. Also you can create more valuation type as per your requirement.

Hi,

By using the Split valuation functionality in Std. SAP you can have multiple valuations for the same material. But as per your requirement material should not be valuated when it is to be received after repair is something which cannot be met using this functionality. Normally, for materials which undergo repair/refurbishment is valuated differently from the normal item and can be tracked separately using a different val. type or material code as required.

Thanks,

What you mean by Also material should not be valuated when it is to be received after repair.

If it split valuated it will be valuated always.

Hi Rajendra,

As mentioned by Dev, it's possible to create various valuation types under the same valuation category, and the parent material can be extended likewise. This will serve one of your purpose, that you want the refurbished materials to be non-valuated [price control 'S', with a notional price of 1 Re. maintained]. However tracking the no. of times the material has been refurbished, will be tough. You would require to go for a custom development then, keeping in mind the client requirements, and integrating the same with standard material documents that are posted, when you receive the material after refurbishment.

This obviously doesn't rule out the need of exploring other solutions, however might work as a head start for the requirement analysis.

Hi,

You can have only one valuation category for a material. If you want, you may include multiple valuation types in the same valuation category and use the valuation category for the material.
