Hi,

I have created a KM Search IView put when I preview this I just get a I symbol with a close button. Can someone tell me where I could go and configure the search attributes and the method to be followed for the same.

The portal installation is that of EP6 SP12.

Many thanks,

Best regards,

Hi Divya,

In

System Administration->System Configuration->KM->

CM->User Interface->Show Advance Options

Search->Search Options Set

You can duplicate o create a new item,

in this component you can customize your search.

Then, this component must be added in your KM Search iview (Search Options Set).

Hi Patricio,

I have duplicated the Search Component and Search Options Set and have assigned these to the properties Configuration of Search Components and Configuration of Search Screen. But I still do not see any change in the output.

what could be the problem?

Many thanks,

Hi,

In order to know if your iview is using these components you can enable debugging settings.

User Interface, Advanced options, Debugging Settings.

Hi Patricio,

What is it I need to mention in these debugging settings please?

As I have currently checked the first option and given my user id in the user name and it does not enable any debugging.

Divya,

Enable Rendering Information= enable

UI Superusers=your userid

After that refresh your portal (F5)

when you run your search iview, appear a new option

Rendering Information.

In this option, you can see options that ara you using.

Hi Divya,

Has your problem solved?

If in case your stillnot able to see your newlt created component/option sets, please try this:

Please try updating the "<b>Default Search Dialog Box</b>" with your newly creation component and option sets.

Its here that you tell the search UI to use your component/option sets respectively.

All the best!!

Warm Regards,

Ritu

Hi Ritu,

are you sure that you created a Search iView.

A search IView doesn't have a close button?

What's your scenario?

Hi Divya,

you can create a new search iVew using com.sap.km.cm par (create iView from par) -> search. And you will not face the above mentioned problem.
