As it is not allowed to change the Audit Trail configuration (except creating new policies) on HCP HANA MDC Trial instances and there is no option to access the entries in the Syslog (as the access to OS level is of course not given), there is no option to access the data.

Right. I also do not understand why the audit trail target is set to "Syslog", because according to the last paragraph in the documentation for audit trails it is described that in MDC environments the audit trail logs are written to the internal database. So as you said: Why the setting is done like that at the moment?
For some simple tests it would be great if it would work also on the HCP environment, because not every one has HANA Express installed on a notebook (e.g. because of to less power) or carries around a NUC. 🙂
Not getting commissioned on NUC sales, I still can say: they're a good choice 🙂
