application servers

Hello Friends,

Please clarify my doubt. I know about three tier str of SAP.

But this line is little confusing. Please explain.

"two application servers on same system"

secondly if a user exist in one application server, does that user automatically exist in other application server also.

regards

surjit

    Hi Surjit,

    It is quite simple.

An SAP R/3 system can have any number of presentantion servers and application servers but only one database sever.Obviously if the user get connected to an SAP R/3 system which has 2 application servers then he can able to access the same.

Hope this will clear your doubt.

    Regards,

    Abdul

    Hi Surjit!

I think, this refers to an other possibility: to run different independent servers (= operating systems) on same hardware. From user (and SAP administrator) it's like seperate hardware, only OS installation is different and real resources are shared.

    Regards,

    Christian
