File & Header

We are having File to XI to IDOC

The File is a Fixed file format. I.e each column lengths are fixed.

The first record is a Header Record. How can I separate this Header Record from the other Detail records?

Also, if there is any Blog available that talks about configuring the File Adapter for the Fixed File Length?
