Urgent .. i need to extract 40 million records..

Hi All,

we are extracting data from SAP R/3 to SAP BW(COPA). It's around 40 Million records. It may take 3 days or more then that. How can i improve the speed. I'm loading to PSA and then Cube. In order to collect the data into PSA it may take 3 or more than that. can any one guide me how can i speed up the process. Can we speed optimize the process.

    I see where you have posted this under Data Warehousing. Most folks that monitor the BW related forums monitor all five topics. You can do this by selecting the higher level Business Intelligence link. It can be hard sometimes to determine the best category, but I would stick with just one.

    Delete indexes before starting your data transfer...then try to create several packets (with not-overlapping selections) and load them in parallel !

    To speed up extraction you can find all the infos you need in SAP OSS Note 417307 titled 'Extractor Package Size Collective Note'.

    Look for sentence „When you send too many data packages that are too small ..”
