Hello Everyone,
I'd like to switch from using Web dynpro java to Web Dynpro ABAP for MSS. So I have assigned the new composite role in the back-end (SAP_MANAGER_MSS_NWBC_3) uploaded to the portal and assigned it there.
My question is where do I see which MSS Launch Pad Role/instance is being called in the portal so that I know which launch pad role to copy and modify and then assign?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Heather
Thanks Sid and Jawala,
Both of your responses were useful.
I guess specifically I am asking about the Service Map in the MSS role. Which role in LPD_CUST is it using? And if I want to modify the launch pad should I not copy and make it a "Z" copy and if I make a "Z" copy how do I point the Service iview to look at my "Z" copy launch pad.

Good question. Hrmss_homepage_1, if you are on EHP6 will use standard delivered role MSS MENU for the links and then If you modify this to lets ZMSS, then in your app config you need to call ZMSS. Please read below its been discussed many times 🙂 http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/employee-self-service/blog/2014/03/07/manager-selfservice--how-... http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/employee-self-service/blog/2012/05/31/tips-recommendations-for-... https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F6465... http://scn.sap.com/thread/3530342 More example this is for MSS Add on http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/employee-self-service/blog/2012/04/25/mss-homepage-customisatio...

you can could do the role configuration in portal as you would normally do once you upload ie thru user admin or role admin or you can do via PFCG and customizing links can be done as above using LPD_CUST. http://scn.sap.com/thread/3346828

HI MADAM ,
Role is MSS and Instnace is EMPLOYEE_MENU ...ifou want to hide some services you can drag and drop them in Inactive applications in that Role only i.e., which you do not want to show in MSS
and for seeing team view in MSS you have to make the manager as chief in ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT
as my Regular scn account is not opening so i am giving you reply from this user id
Thank you ,
Jwala.
