Sales Order Application modification at Item Level

I'm changing the Standard Sales order application at Item level so that the Billing Plan tab is hidden and all the details of Billing Plan tab along with other custom fields are displayed in Additional B tab (Screen 8459). I also have a table control in Billing Plan tab and the same is also being implemented in Additional B tab. This table control deals with FPLT table. Now I need to add a custom field say description and what ever data is entered in this needs to get updated in FPLT table. Can anyone suggest me how do we do that.

Any sort of help will be much appreciated.
