Concept of TECO status in Production Order

4697 Views

Hi team,

I would like to know about the TECO status in production order.

Assume the below case.

Production Order quantity: 10, Period End: 30.04.2014.

Case1 : Full Completion of production order quantity within this period.

Assume that i will be completing the entire production order quantity (ie, 10 quantity) within this period (ie, on or before 30.04.2014). So my order will receive the status "DLV CNF". In this case, i need NOT to set the status "TECO". Am i right?

With this status (DLV, CNF), i can settle my order. After settlement, the production order status will NOT get any new status. But the order balance will be ZERO. Is my understanding right?

Case2 : Partial Completion of production order quantity within this period & remaining quantity completion in next period.

A. Assume that i will be completing the production order quantity of 8 within this period (ie, on or before 30.04.2014). Without setting the status "TECO", i can not able to settle the order in this period know. So i need to set the status "TECO" & settle the order in this period with 8 quantity (Order status: PDLV PCNF TECO). After settlement, is the order balance will be ZERO?

B. In the next period (example 10.05.2014), i can complete the remaining 2 quantity & my order will receive the status DLV CNF. I will re-settle the order in the next period (example, 10.05.2014) & again my order balance will become ZERO. Am i right?

Case3 : Pre-Closure of production order

Assume that i will be confirming the order with 7 quantity. So my order will receive the status PDLV & PCNF. And i do not want to continue process this order further. To handle this case, should i need to set the status "TECO" WITHOUT reducing the order quantity to 8 from 10?

Comparing the "Case 2" & "Case 3", i should not close the order in this period (Status:CLSD) for the "Case 2" since i would like to process the remaining 2 quantity in the next period. But in case of "Case 3", i need to close the order in this period since i do not want to process the order further. Am i right?

As a month end process, i will be closing the orders whichever has the status "TECO" in COHV (Mass Closure). If select the orders based on TECO status, both "Case 2" & "Case 3" orders will be selected. But actually the "Case 2" orders should NOT be selected for closure. How to control this in COHV?

General Clarification: If the order balance is NOT ZERO, can i able to close (CLSD) the order? To close the order, the order should have what status?

Thanks
