Dear Experts,

06:44:28.038 (03592/WebSiteMonitor    ) TRC> Web server HTTP check failed. Status reason = [none of the server addresses are locally assigned], health reason = [none of the server addresses are locally assigned]

06:44:28.038 (03592/WebSiteMonitor    ) INF> Monitoring action failed: HTTP: none of the server addresses are locally assigned. IIS:

Did anybody come across a similar issue?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Swapna,

-could you please clarify: was the integration website created in the IIS?

-Also check the Application Pools: all of them are running correctly?

-Double check all Prerequisites from the BCM_7_Basic_Training_Inst.pdf, especially Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, all of them must be installed.

-On HAC Node level: right click on the Integration_VU and select "marked as repaired", expand Integration_VU and look what software could not be run.

Anton.

Hello Anton,

- The integration Website is created is IIS but since the VU is not active the website in IIS is not started.

- All the Application Pools are started. Only the Integration_VU application pool is stopped

- When I select marked as repaired, the OII is not working. We are not using the chat server.

And what about Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0?

Did you installed the following:

Link: version 4.0: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718

Link: version 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=30653

Link: version 4.5.1: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40779

Just in case I would insert "Password for Windows user account.." (red mark) again, sync instance and apply changes to host.

Besides .NET 4 OII also needs these prerequisite software:

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 1, 32-bit version
  • Additionally, the OII interface requires also Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, 32-bit version.

Hello,

I have rechecked the pre-requisite software and all have been installed.

I entered the password, synchronized the instances and applied changed to host. But still OII component is failing.

The HAC logs are still the same.

Did you copied this IP address and maybe there is a space in the end of IP address? Did you add right subnet for this IP address?

Expand TPC_Integration_VU - Components - IP address and look on the right if everything is ok.

Hello,

I checked for the space before and after the IP address. But there isn't any space there. I checked the VU after restarting the server. But the error is still the same.

I have attached the screenshot for your reference. and it seems to be ok. Please check the same and give your inputs as well.

Hi Swapna,

Again I will ask.  Have you verified that IIS 6 is also running on this server?  OII requires not just IIS 7 but also IIS 6.  Install IIS 6 and try to restart the Virtual Unit.

Thanks,

Marcus

Yes Marcus,

IIS 6 is also installed on the server...

There is 1 doubt that I want to clarify.. While installing IIS 6. the user id used was "sap-admin" and now while installing the VU I have used the user id "bcm.admin". Both the users have administrator rights. But will this affect in any way?

Hi Swapna,

Can you verfiy you are using the same user account for your web VU that you are using for your OII VU?  These should be service accounts that were created that have domain permissions. When you say "bcm.admin" does that mean you are using the built in bcm.admin account?  That will never work. All of the web server based VU's must use a valid domain account such as the "sap-admin" account you referenced above.

Check to make sure the service account that you are trying to start the OII VU with has the proper permissions to start a service on the server and that it is a proper admin/user of the domain group.

I have seen the Website service start successfully but not the OII when the service account being used lacked the proper GPO permissions to start services within IIS.

Thanks,

Marcus

Hello Everyone,

I went through all the configurations done again and found that

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 1
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package, 32-bit version

were not installed by the Basis team. This is the reason why my integration VU was not getting activated.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Swapna

Maybe a banal hint, but as far I can remember after installing Integration Interface you have to restart the whole server.

Hi,

For OII to properly start IIS 6 must also be running. Can you confirm you have also installed IIS 6 on the OII server?

Thanks,

Marcus

Hello.

Are you sure that your IP address is free for this VU?

Inactivate the VU and try to ping it.

Hi Agur,

Thank you for your reply.

When I ping the IP, after making the VU inactive, it gives a message "Destination Host Unreachable".

Is there some issue with the IP that I'm using?

Swapna

It shows that your IP is not in use (which is good) and you have other kind of problem.

Screenshots of your Integration VU configuration and Integration VU could help here.
