SLD-LMDB duplicate hostname

Hi all,

I have a Solution Manager 7.1 sp10.

I try to configure managed systems in VAR scenario. For two Customers the syncronization between SLD and LMDB generate one hostname with two different SID.

How can manage the same hostname for different SID?

Thanks in advanced.

Best Regards

Moreno

Hi Moreno,

I faced exactly the same issue as you did. I had two ABAP-stacks "C11" on Hosts "sapc11"

But I was lucky, as I had some (additional) virtual hostnames for the Systems.

For ABAP-stacks, check out DEFAULT.PFL. Usually, there are entries for SAPGLOBALHOST and SAPDBHOST (for a central System, they are the same, here: "sapc11").

I solved my issue in adding the Parameter SLDSYSTEMHOME and set the value to a virtual hostname. This value is transferred regularly via RZ70, you will see a new entry in SLD.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dirk

Hi all,

thanks for your replies but don't solve my problem.

I try to explain better:

I have a customer with SID C00 and hostname SAPPRD (IP Address 172.16.1.150) , another customer with SID F10 and hostname SAPPRD (IP Address 10.1.0.15).

I have registered the first system (SAPPRD - C00) in SLD using RZ70.

In SLD I found it in technical system:

C00 in SAPPRD

on SLD details the info are correct.

The sync between SLD and LMDB is correct. I found:

hostname: SAPPRD

IP: 172.16.1.150

Application server: C00

Database server: C00

Later on I have registered the second system (SAPPRD - F10) in SLD using RZ70.

In SLD I found:

C00 in SAPPRD

F10 in SAPPRD

After the sync between SLD and LMDB I found only one host for both systems:

hostname: SAPPRD

IP: 10.1.0.15 (172.16.1.150 is overwritten)

Application server: C00

Application server: F10

Database server: C00

Database server: F10

Our requirement in LMDB is to have two different entries 'SAPPRD' eachone with own SID and details (IP Address, Fully qualified hostname and so on).

Any help?

Thanks

Moreno

I didn't have this problem yet, but would it be possible to differ them by assigning different product systems?

Hello Moreno Anelli,

Each Technical System on SLD/LMDB has a String which differences from others.

On LMDB you can see the String on Technical System>Details

On SLD you can check it through Content Maintenance

sap_bcsystem.creationclassname="SAP_BCSystem",name="<SID>.SystemNumber.<SysNo>.SystemHome.<Host>"

check the note : 1834042 - Duplicate Product Systems generated in LMDB and SMSY

Resolution

  1. Delete the manually generated systems in LMDB.
  2. Re-name the Extended SID(<XYZ>00001) to original SID(XYZ) and save.
  3. Click on 'Re-Sync from SLD', to make sure the sync is working.
  4. Systems created manually in SMSY should have the Data Source 'Manuel', these systems should be deleted.
  5. Check in LMDB for the technical systems which are generated with Extended IDs,
    a. For the Message Server.
    b. The technical system with the wrong Message Server should be removed.
