OS upgrade to Windows 2008 R2

Hello All

We are currently running Data Services 4.0 on Windows 2003 environment. We would like to upgrade the operating system to Windows 2008 R2. What would be the right approach to this. Kindly advice...

Thanks in advance

    Hell Pavan,

Open Product availability matrix for SAP BODS 4.0 and check for the OS support/compatibility

    Check OS compatibility

    DB compatibility

    ...

if all are support then take the necessary backups for SAP BODS 4.0 and do OS upgrade..

    Regards

    • Hi,

Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported for DS 4.0 SP3.

Prio of upgrading the OS i would stop all relevant DS Services such as the Job Server, SIA and Tomcat. Please also disable them.

After the Upgrade set them back to automatic and start them.

      This should do the trick.

      Regards

      -Seb.
