Change run ID, Routines, Conversion Exits

hi guys,

Pls help answer these questions,

1)what is change run id ? how is it useful?

2)how to use start routine,Transfer Routine, Update Routines ? where can i find sample Codes & Scenarios

3) what are conversion exits? how r they diferent from Transfer rules?
