Hi,
we are using the XIF-Adapter to receive business partners from a third party system. The third party system send the data in xml via http.
My question is now. Is there any possibility to do a mapping of the data before processing. As i understand I can use the LSMW to do the mapping when receiving iDoc-Files. Is that also possible for XML?
Thanks
Michaela
Hi,
yes but is there anyway a documentation how to do it exactly? I found a weblog but there it is only described how to do when I use an iDoc instead of a XML.
Thanks
Michaela

Micheala,
The answer is yes that you could probably somehow use LSMW to map XML into the IDOC. However I don't think that would be the best method. You probably should consider using a tool such as XI, or something of your choice to handle the message mapping. My other recommendation if you can't use a tool such as that is to use an LSMW exit and then parse the XML via the iXML ABAP objects library.
If you don't use a mapping tool, then the work will probably become tedious and somewhat messy using the ABAP/LSMW method.
Good Luck,
Stephen
