ESS Service menus deactivate

Hi,

Certain service menus or individual services might not be relevant to my company. For example, my company may not use Benefits. In this case, i can deactivate the Benefits service menu from the menu. so, where can i "deactivate" or "switch off" service and set the service menu position?

Please any one advice....

Thanks,

Suriya.

    Hi Suriya,

On the Enterprise Portal, go to Content Admin and remove the unwanted iViews from the Workset.

    Good Luck,

    Check backend customizing..

for Pesonal Management -> ... ESS -> general settings

there you can de activate services from XSS home page.. and while creating your customized role, you need to take out concerned iview/page.

    hi surya ,

I hope no need to remove any iviews or service files ..

whtever in ur system will not be visible to all the users .

First check , wht Role is assgned to ur users and find out the Iview for that role . If u find any irrelevant iviews ,just remove that from the Role / workset .

    Hope it helps .

    Rgds,

    Hi Surya,

    Try doing this:

    1. Make Copy of the workset(not a delta copy).

    2. Remove the IViews not necessary for your requirement.

DO NOT CHANGE THE WORKSETS PROVIDED BY THE BUSINESS PACKAGE. This is for two reasons:

    1. While import of a new version of the ESS business package, the changes done would be over written.

    2. Any support package would also overwrite your changes to the standard worksets.

If required you assign these worksets to the copy of the standard roles and use them.

    Naveen.
