Error Logging into J2EE Administrator Tool

Have installed enterprise portal on NW SR1 SP9. Trying to log in to the J2EE Admin tool for the first time and get the following error:-

" Unable to lookup connection default http://host:port/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameters"

Could you help me resolve this error?
