Display Project Profile in CJ01

Hello,

Can anybody help how I can make Project Profile to be displayed in CJ01? I can see only the description from OPSA, but it does not include the Project Profile.

Hi Rodica,

In CJ01 screen, press  Alt+F12 . Then go to Options -> Interaction Design -> Visualization 1. Here under Controls parameter field Tick mark the check box for Show keys within drop down lists -> Apply -> OK.

Now, check it will show you the Proj. Defi. and its Description in CJ01

One more thing, it is posible to have Project profile created in OPSA and not being displayed in CJ01? Is tthere a option to make it invisible?

No. It is not possible.

But there are workaround to restrict the use of that project profile which you want to restrict from users to use:

1. Use validation to restrict the use of project profile.

2. Control is through authorizations.

3. In User profile (SU3) maintain PWS and project profile under paramaters tab. So that users will get this profile default in CJ01. You can use screen variant to make this field displayed and uneditable for this proj. profile if you strictly want users to use this proj. profile only.

Hi Rodica,

As Saurabh said is correct. You can't make Project Profile field hide in CJ01 initial screen. Because Your project will be created with the inputs based on Project profile. Its mandatory field.

But If you want, after creating project, you can hide the Project Profile field in control tab of Project definition.For this, in OPUJ tranx, you have to select 'hide' option in field selection of Project for concern Project Profile.

Thank you for your advices! I don't want to restrict users rights. I just have some old inputs and I don't want them to be deleted in the system. So I need to display only the one which are active.

In any case, I would like to thank you for all your advices!

Hi,

If you are talking about any field inputs then after entering inputs to field, use same OPUJ (For Project Definition) and OPUK (For WBS) for making field only in display mode further.

It is about the initial screen in CJ01. The Project profile list is OPSA. I want to display only a part of them, and I don't want to delete them. One profile can exist in OPSA but not displayed in 1st step in CJ01?

Shishir, you have multiple doscuments posted. Can you please advice where I can find all documentation about SAP PS?

Hi,

No, its not possible to display only mode in CJ01 initial screen. Because in CJ01, you have take project profile for creating project.

For SAP PS document: You have to Google as per your requirement. There are many documents available.

Hi,

Its system settings makes display of description as well project profile id.

for that you need to do some settings in sap screen.

go to icon "customize local layout" from the drop down window Options>Interaction desing> Visualization 1... on right hand side under controls check against Show keys within dropdown list  and sort by keys within drop down list for most efficient keyboard input.

Please note that the above settings and selection options depends on system version. but that would not be big issue whatever the version of the system.
