MSS Recruitment ISR Forms error - "An error occurred whilst processing ..."

I get this error for all the ISR forms within MSS Recruitment (Not Recruiting Workset) delivered scenarios SPR1-SPR4, SRVR, etc. -

"An error occurred whilst processing the notification"

at the top of the form. I have checked the configuration of these scenarios and it resembles what is in the config guides for MSS Requisition Scenarios. These should be the standard Notification types as well. Someone posted this error and said he resolved it by checking something in the backend - like a message server or something. Can someone clarify where to do that? I've tried ST22 but I don't see any errors. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you manage to resolve this error - I am having exactly same situation i.e. getting this error for all the ISR forms within MSS Recruitment.

Can you please help to resolve this issue.

Seems that several people have experienced this problem, including me, but no one has documented the solution. Can anybody please point me in the right direction?
