When going to Auditing in the CMC

No CMS is configured as an auditor

status summary

Warning: There is no connection to the Auditing Data Store from the CMS

For each node in the Cluster

Everything else is working fine just not the Audit part.

Using Oracle 11G for the database.

Verified oracle connection to the Audit area.

Any suggestion what to try next.

Michael,

Did you install the Oracle 11g 64bit client of the BI 4.1 Server?    If you use the ORANET 64bit client to test the connection to Audit DB on the BI 4.1 server then it should work from the CMC.

Logon into the  CMC and go to the Auditing section and configure the Oracle 11g settings.

Michael,

Make sure you configure the Oracle 11g 64bit client so the Audit connection is registered in OBDC as a system DSN.  Once you have fully tested the connection from Oracle, login into CMC go Auditing section and update configuration, see screenshot below.

Enter:

  • Connection Name
  • Type is Oracle
  • User Name
  • Password
  • Save changes and restart SIA
