SAP allows to add sales order with same document number in same financial year

Hi All,

I am facing a serious problem in SAP B1 that system allowed to add sales order with same document number in the same posting period. we are creating sales order by DTW. Posting period is divided monthly basis. While checking SQL details, system display different doc entries for both the documents. For one document, system selected the period indicator for this year and for the other one ,it is last year indicator. can anybody help me to know that how it happens and how I cant prevent this.
