Pdf attachment not opening- 'File does not begin with %Pdf-'

Hi Friends,

I have a situation where in a CRM Quotation a document is being imported from another system and is being attached via an action. This attachment opens when I open it in SAP GUI under documents tab but if I open it in WebUI I get the error message 'File does not begin with %Pdf-'.

Please help !!!

Hi Jai,

This seems to be something related to the system configuration for PDF documents or the Adobe reader's configuration and there are a lot of notes to refer to on SAP Marketplace.

I suggest going through the notes by searching for the string "File does not begin with %Pdf" or the best can be, opening an OSS for this error or reaching out to your Basis team for support.

This note is relevant for Adobe version 8 and below. I am currently running on version 11.0.

Hi Jai,

Like I already said above this is just one of the notes among the 20 such notes found on SAP Marketplace , hence I suggest you taking this up with SAP.

I am also facing the same issue and the Adobe version is 11.0.
