Can a user exist in the org structure multiple times?

With one user id / single sign on?  If so what are the impacts?  Eg: when they log on what attributes get picked up?

Thanks

Hi Tracey,

I havent seen if a user can be assigned to multiple places in Org structure. A user is always assigned once but you can of course change its position as required.

In single sign on the default attributes will be picked up.

May i know what exactly you are looking for...i might not understood your question correctly.

We have some users who work 50% of the time in one department and 50% of the time in another department.  They shop in both roles.  So when they logon what attributes will be picked up where the attributes are different for each department?

Hi Tracey,

When they will logon the attributes of the department where they are assigned will be picked up.

are you maintaining the "Shop on behalf" attribute for the other department ?

That is the crux of the problem, they are assigned twice in org strucutre as we are replicating from HR where they are also assigned twice.  Trying to get the user id released to test but security is quite busy!

Hi,

it is possible, but if you have a 50-50 assignment you can't steer what attributes are taken into account, so you might be lucky, or you won't .

You can change the assignment of the CP to the S to something like 51-49, the 51 position will then be used to determine the attribute values.

If you want to buy for multiple companies/plants, maintain the BUK attribute and the extended attributes for locations.

The only real problem shows up when a user should be allowed to buy cross backend system. This is not possible. Then you should start thinking about a buy on behalf scenario or multiple user accounts.

Regards,

Robin
