Data Migration S/4 Hana with SAP Data Services

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with Data Migration to S/4 HANA using SAP Data Services?

Or is there another Alternative for LSMW?

Hi Tim,

My name is Frank Densborn and I'm the Product Manager for Data Migration to SAP S/4HANA. I was hoping that some of our customers would reply to your question and cannot really talk for them but can tell you that this so called "Rapid Data Migration" content for SAP Data Services has been used in the past extensively for SAP ERP and SAP Business Suite on HANA and there are also a number of projects ongoing right now where this is used for SAP S/4HANA On-premise.

Hi Netaji,

That is where you'll find the documentation. There is also a link to the SAP note that then describes in detail how to download the ATL files from the Software Download Center.

I have been Following up with SAP for Data Migration to S/4 HANA Cloud\On-Premise\Private Cloud and have got few clarification(Incident are 237556 and 259690)but still i have few question.I would appreciate if you could help me with below Query or if you could Divert to right Contact.

Q- Since LSMW is not supported\recommended for SAP S/4 HANA Cloud\On-Premise\Private Cloud, what is the recommended approach for Data Migration ,apart from Migration Cockpit(S/4 HANA cloud) and RDS ?

Q- Could you please tell me if we can Perform Data Load to SAP SAP S/4 HANA Cloud\ On-Premise Hosted on Private Cloud using BODS 4.2 via IDocs, BAPI. If yes then why can't we use RDS of SAP S/4 HANA On-Premise with SAP S/4 HANA Cloud?

Q- As per SAP's Reply, we should be able to connect SAP S/4 HANA Cloud\ On-Premise Hosted on Private Cloud as similar to SAP S/4 HANA on-premise while as per few Blogs available in SCN, we need HCI . Hence my query if we can Connect SAP S/4 HANA Cloud similar to SAP S/4 HANA on-premise then why can't we perform data load to SAP S/4 HANA cloud similar to SAP S/4 HANA On-Premise.

I am keep getting confuse among SAP S/4 HANA Version and not able to take any decision and request you if you could help me with necessary Document and Link Including your reply to above query, which can get me to right path ?

Hi Frank,

We are trying New Implementation approach for S/4 HANA OP using SAP Data Services.

I am trying to download RDS package from the link https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/rds-dm2s4op, however not able to find ATL files to upload into SAP DS.

Could you please help in this reference.
