Display Router Graphical Representation

Is there a tool that can be used to display the Graphical Representation for a Router?  We would like our users to see the graphical routing but not be able to edit it.  The router has the field for graphical representation - I think that it is VARCHAR MAX and has x,y coordinates, etc.  We would like to know if anyone has any experience with displaying this field graphically.

Do you use ME application? Does not Routing Maintenance work for you?

We do use the ME application but we need the capability to allow users to view router only.  We do not want to give them Router Maintenance capability since we don't want to allow update to all users who need to see the router.  You can setup a user at NetWeaver to Viewer Only at the database level but our users update through PODs so we don't have that option either.

Hello Cheryl,

Unfortunately you can't give read only permissions for Routing Maintenance. Access with edit capability is either allowed or not. There is no other option.

There is no such standard activity.

Normally, operators who work in POD do not need it. And only people, who responsible for maintenance, can access and edit Routing.

You can create some custom report and select data from ROUTER_STEP table.

Or, if you need it for some specific SFC, you can think of using activities like SFC Step Status.

Graphical information can be provided to operators in POD by means of Work Instructions. So, if you create, let's say, a PDF file with a picture of the router, this document can be displayed by means of WI Viewer. Or you can try HTML Viewer. See How-To Guide here.
