Dear Aneesh,

The better solution is to define the dep key based on days. You can set Asset useful life as 16 days. System shuold calcuate the dep for 2 days based on 16 days useful life.

T Code: AFAMA

Double click on Dep key

Select Check box Dep to the Day

In Dep Base Method - select Dep method as Percentage useful life of asset.

Hope it will help.

Thanks,

Deepanshu

Hi,

If month end activity’s completed for your client then post unplanned depreciation with T code ABSO,

Transaction Type 641 for unplanned depreciation on prior year acquisition. Depreciation amount need to give manually in ABSO.

Hi Ajeesh,

We will try to find if there is any way out to achieve the solution to your requirement. Meantime, i suggest you to raise an OSS message to SAP through Service market place for their advise.

Hi,

If you want book the depreciation for two days in March month maintain ordinary depreciation start date 30/3/2014 in Asset master depreciation tab.   And run the AFAB in month end activity, Depreciation will take place two days for that asset.

In April Month if you want to post 14 days depreciation only, then do the retirement activity (i.e. Sale or Scarp) on 14/4/2014. Before this activity need to be select Depreciation to the day check box in Define depreciation key step (T Code: AFAMA).

If you select Depreciation to the day check box, system will post the 14 days depreciation while doing activity (i.e. Sale or Scarp) and it ignores the period control method.

If Client doesn’t want to do the any activity (i.e. Sale or Scarp) system will post the full month depreciation as per SAP slandered.

Dear Expert

As per our requirement

Acquisition value = 1500000

Depreciation %   =2147.059

                                         365

Depreciation % =100 x 16

= 2147.059

This should be my depreciation percentage, in SAP standard  system wont allow More than 3 Digit DP %

Dear Ajeesh,

As said earlier, you dont need to define dep %age. Set dep method based on useful life. System will calculate and post it accordingly.

Thanks, Deepanshu

Hello Ajeesh,

When you select the check box "to the day" for the depreciation key, system will consider the period value as days.

Hi Ajeesh,

Periods represent teh Month or day depending on 'to the day' check box. If you select it, Period column will represent days.

Hope, it helps.

Thanks,

Deepanshu

Alternatively you can create one depreciation key with SLM and fix the percentage as 2281. Assign the dep key in master.
