How should calculate Financial year in webi report?

HI Experts,

In webi report how should calculate financial year.

For example

whenever user run the report it should come default current financial year(Current year Apr to Next year March). Please give me exact formula for that.

What is your data source?

If you are running over a database rather than Bex, then best practice is to have a calendar table in your schema that maps calendar dates to fiscal dates/periods/years. This can then be included in your universe and used as you see fit.

Hi Manikandan,

I'd be inclined to do this work in BEx, it makes it reusable in many Webi documents rather than you having to reinvent the wheel in Webi.

I use Customer / SAP exits in my BEx query, there are lots of MTD / YTD variables on Fiscal Weeks or Fiscal Period or Fiscal Year that you can use. So you have a few selections with your key figure in your Bex Query Designer and then the relevant time characteristic with the Customer / Sap exit selected to determine your financial year.
