Hi Pankaj,

seeing your experience, i will suggest you to go with either of SAP SD or SAP CRM, remember if you have pre domain knowledge of sales and marketting both it will be an advantages to you in CRM process, when it comes to SD it requires core domain knowledge of it, so if you have in your major or minor as Sales then you will get exposure to SD, then you can take it as your career option.

So, rather than asking to others , i will only suggest you to search about the contents ans processes of both SAP SD and SAP CRM. read it carefully then you can decide yourself which moduke seemsto be a passsion for you.

Feel free to ask any question regarding it, if you are not getting.

Hi Rajeev,

Thank you for your quick revert. Let me ask you some questions:-

1. Do you think that its easy to get a job after doing SAP CRM functional course as per the present condition of the market ?

2. What would be the Job responsibilities in CRM fuctional after doing the course.?

3.Do you think that the experience I carry it would be counted while attending the interviews ?

I had word with Atos people and shared my profile with them. As I already did CCNA and some network certifications courses they suggested me go for SAP Basis.

And I had a word with some of my friends and they told me the growth opportunities in SAP Basis would be quite limited as compared to Functional. Either in SAP Basis one particular time your career would be stuck on a one particular point.

Please answer these above mentioned questions.

Looking forward for your positive response.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Pankaj,

please see my name is Sanjeev and not Rajeev,

For your queries, here is the answer

1. No, its not easy to get a job quickly, you may take an year in getting a good job (i am not wishing for the same).

2. I don't have idea regarding CRM too much, you can search on google for the roles and                    responsibilities for a CRM functional proffessional.

3. It depends on company to company, but you will not consider as an experienced sap proffesional , but rather an experienced IT proffessional having exposure to sap.

As you have done CCNA, i will suggest BASIS will also a good module too, but i think its just a rumour that basis has limited exposure, yes its true that it has limited domain , but basis consultant are needed in each industry where there is SAP has been implemented.

So, now decisions are yours.

SD ------ good but old ( helps ur career like a 9 mm pistol)

CRM ----- Excellent and New( helps ur career like an AK 47 Mission Gun)

Choice is yours..

All the best..

Pankaj,

I have just started SAP SD training. I am practicing from home and attending classes from a non-famous institute.

What I got guidance I am sharing with you the same-

(1) Learn SAP SD module along with Business process and work for at least 01 implementation or 2 years minimum.

(2) Then shift to SAP CRM-Functional.

No doubt that CRM functional is like AK-47 and SAP SD 9 mm Pistol. But SAP Business Suite-7 with several enhancement package it is going to be in demand for next 10-15 years without any competition.

Current SD module (ECC-6.0)  is having Ehp-4 version.

If you know SAP SD it would be relatively easy for you to learn CRM-Functional. Because CRM Functional is advance level of Sales, Marketing & Customer Service.

This guidance I got from my relative who is minting notes in Europe and in USA. But no doubt he is having 9 years SAP SD+CRM experience.

SAP is not a field of QUICK MONEY AND QUICK SUCCESS. It takes time to learn as well as to deliver.

Still I would suggest Research on both modules.

Thanks & Regards,
