Hi,
In SP17 a new option has been added to the Report Editor in the EPM Add-in for BPC 10.
It is "Query Options" and has very minimal information in the help guide, except:
16.1.4 Query Options
Applies to:
Planning and Consolidation connections.
In very specific cases and in order to increase time performances, you can use the Query Options
field to pass on information to the server.
I always encourage the idea of performance improvements in BPC, so it would be great if anyone has more information on how it can be used.
Many Thanks,
Nick
Hi Nick,

Hi Teresa,
You can always find the latest here: http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boeo10/en/EPMofc_10_user_en.pdf
with the detailed list of changes for each SP at the beginning!

Hi Nick,
Take a look at OSS Note
SAP Note 1854228 - How to enable parallel query for
reporting
The note describes how to enable parallel execution of queries for BPC NW and how the Query Option section in EPM is leveraged for this functionality.
I hope this helps
Carlos

Hi Nick,
I am looking at more information on using the 'Query Options' too, as the user guide mentions it could be used to increase time performances.
The only option that I had used recently is turning on the parallel processing by mentioning 'parallelization=true' in Query Options and it did help a lot to improve data retrieval in large reports when used together with setting the global parameter 'ENABLE_PARALLEL_EXECUTION' to 'X' from TCode SPRO.
However I am not really sure on what all VALID parameters could be passed through the Query Options other than 'parallelization=true' to the server.
It would be great to have the information.
Thanks
Srujana
