Remove default Price Unit from PO Condition type

Hi,

I'm an ABAPer.

We have a requirement to remove the default(which is '1') Price Unit(PEINH) from 'Conditions' Tab in PO for a particular PO Type.

Could you please suggest if there is any customizing for this?

Hi,

   There is no standard configuration option to make the default price unit as blank, as of my knowledge. Whenever you enter a material or short text (with or without material master and info record), system will default the field with value 1 or the value from info record.

   May I know why you want the field to be blank?

As of my knowledge, You can set the field as blank.

If you are trying to set the field blank, then system will take the value as 1.

This field value comes from info record.

You can't remove the value from this field from any standard configuration..

Sorry.. My first sentence was a typo..

As of my knowledge, You can can't set the field as blank.

It can be defaulted on PO via info record.

If you maintain the field value as 100 in info record, then it will carry to PO.

No there is no such customizing.

What is the reason for such a strange request?

You have to learn about price determination, there is huge OSS FAQ note .

e.g. a price can come from conditions, from info record, from contract, from last PO, from requisition...

Better educate the users how to make best use of SAP designed way and its master data  instead of doing something strange and contrary to the design in the PO itself
