how to support .svg files in portal 7.40.12

Hi experts,

I have a HTML file with .svg images. The files are uploaded in km. I added the .svg as MIME type as described in

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3788831

I also added the MIME type in

Systeem Administrator / Systeemconfiguration / Knowledge Management / Content Management / Utilities / Mime types

When I open the .html file the .svg images are not rendered.

I removed the files uploaded them again, restart the portal. but nothing helps.

In the detail screen the MIME type is still binair file (application/octet-stream).

How to support the svg files in the portal?

I found out that the images where missing some html definition.

Regarding the issue that you are facing, I came across a KBA which deals with the similar scenario. Following the resolution steps from the KBA should solve your issue.

KBA # 1996625 - Files uploaded to KM have incorrect Mime Type
