Movement type 657 not updating Excise register

Hi

This is a first time we have created a return order and return delivery. Return delivery puts stock in Return blocked stock bucket using movement type 657.

I have created entries in tableJ_1IMVMT through configuration.

Please let me know what am I doing wrong? After creating return GR, I thought SAP should update excise register. AM i missing something?

For information, excise values are not controlled by movement type but with assignment of G/L Accounts in configuration.  Coming to your issue, to adjust the excise towards returns, you need to post a JV via J1IH.  Search the forum for more details on how to execute this TCode.

Hi:

This is a sale  from depot and return to depot for the product that was imported from Affiliate.

Isn't excise register is updated by movement as shown in above screen?  Similar to movement type 641/642, shouldn't it update excise register? Am i missing configuration?

For a depot scenario, which excise register are you looking to be updated?
Is it J_1IRG23D table?
