Cannot change the data entry period, SAP FIORI

Hello Friends,

I am working on the SAP Fiori apps, I am able to enter timesheet from ECC for past months and when I do the same from Launchpad URL or individual app URL, I am getting the below error. The strange issue is I am able to enter the time for the current month and if I try to do the same for last month getting below error.

Please let me know is there any settings or restrictions in the Fiori app timesheet, that we can enter time from a specific period (For last 3 weeks) as per the below screenshot from Launcpad tile.

Hi Srikanth,

The Fiori MyTimesheet application uses date restriction which is calculated from the Data Entry profile.

For e.g. (CAC1 transaction, select your data entry profile)

In the example above, Period Type is 2 which means Weekly data entry and Periods is 1 which means one week.

Now the lower and upper limit relative is set as 4. This means that the user in this data entry profile can records entries upto 4 weeks in the past and upto 4 weeks in the future.

Can you check what is the setting done for your user's data entry profile. If the information I have given does not solve your issue could you please attach a screenshot of the Time Settings section for the data entry profile?

That really worked and I didn't realize it that the lower limit relative will have such an impact on the fiori side.

Hello Friends,

We upgraded both ECC & NW as per the below screenshot. But, I still get an error when I am trying to submit time which is before 3 weeks.

I am able to submit timesheet for the current week.

Please find below screenshot of the error and latest upgrade

Just FYI. This does not solve your issue but, I see you use old UI components which were released in May 2013.

Important Note: Please use new UI with new SAP Fiori Launchpad

New UI components have UI extension points and work with new SAP Fiori Launchpad.

Please find correct components based on your Backend version.

I think the message is from HR backend. I would set external break points in backend and do troubleshooting.

What is the customizing in your backend?

What is the period type in CAC1 customizing. IF you have Period type daily then you would get this error when you try to record entry for any other day?
