Start and Stop of BI 4.1

Hello,

I am planning to use the net stop / start "service name" to start and stop the SIA and Apache service on Win 2008 server.

This is as per the note 1305228, which is vald for 3.1.

My question is that is it valid for BI 4.1 as well.

Please confirm. Your help wil lgreately appreciated.

Is it mandatory to have so many ccm.exe when sia and tomcat will start all the services. I tried it aready and it works.

Is there any drawback?

My another question is the last line "start http://localhost:8080/BOE/BI". What does this do?

Please advice.

If your environment is setup, not to start to all the servers automatically when SIA starts, than you required to restart them manually using those commands.

Not sure about the last one. I guess that is just make sure BI Launchpad is started after all the servers are restarted.

It suggests that you access this link in the browser to see if you are able to login and use the system
