Error when adding inventory Posting

Hi All

We are getting an error when trying to add Inventory Posting after a stock take process.

The Stock Count was imported and there was no issues with that.

When we do a Copy to Inventory Posting from Inventory Counting or in the Inventry Window and Copy From Inventory Posting,

Its still the same error.

Error: The base document row was updated; reopen the inventory posting window

Client on SAP 9.0 PL07

Hi Jerusha

check this support note: 184551 - you cannot copy an Inventory Counting document to an Inventory Posting document.

You can check this thread. If it is your problema, the upgrade to 9.0 PL10 is the solution.

Do you have some lines with price 0, and change in the document?

I didnt import the prices..

Just imported the itemcode, itemname, itemgroup... test environement..so left the other info out for now.

Same error, same SBO version, but it works if add only 1 line.

I have documents with 300 lines, i will have a bad day....

I started testing line by line..

I upgraded to PL 11, DTW got upgraded and it sorted my issue out.

Do you have itemcodes with some that more then 10 characters in length? Those were the items where the error occurred.

my items have less then 10 characters.

i look at sql profiler, just can't understand

Thank you..the error occurs exactly as stated in the note.

They the client is on PL07, so will upgrade to patch 10 and see if the issue still occurs.

Hi,

Please check SAP note:

1841551 - You cannot copy an Inventory Counting document to an
Inventory Posting document

Make sure your scenario and SAP scenario are same.
