Change of Secure Store Key Phrase

Hi,

System details are:

SAP NetWeaver 7.31 (NetWeaver Portal)

Database: Oralce 11.2.3

O/S Solaris 5.10

We have upgraded our portal system from NetWeaver 7.0 to version 7.31. At the time of upgrade, during confirguration phase, SUM had prompted for Secure Store Key Phrase. We had left the entry blank, as SUM will set the default secure store key phrase.

Now I need to take an export of this system (System Copy). As a pre-requisite to export/import, I need the key phrase. I have tried checkKeyPhrase.sh tool, as suggested in System Copy Guide for Using Software Provisioning Manager 1.0, but no luck. Since we are unware of the key phrase, I have tried to reset the key phrase using configtool. But I am getting error 'ERROR: An error has occurred during key migration. INFO: Secure store recovered to the initial key phrase'. Screen attached.

I have checked the SAP Note: 1683616 - AS Java doesn't start after changing the Key phrase in the configtool and also the help document link: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/14c93ec2f7df6ae10000000a114084/content.htm, but still fail to overcome the error.

I have gone through some links on SCN but couldn't find any releavant solution. Please suggest.

Thanks,

Abdul.

Hi Abdul,

Hope you are doing good.

If the keyphrase was changed before the system copy procedure, then the only option is to set it again and then restart the system copy procedure.
Else, the only option is to use the method described in the note.

If the SecureStore is corrupted, there's only two options:

- Use an older SecureStore from a backup;

- Reinstall the system;

- Restore the DataBase to a date where the system was working.

Please note that the ideal manner of doing this would be using a FS

backup restore.

Hope this helps.

Thank you and have a nice day!
