Exception occured during processing of Web Dynpro application

Hi All,

I am using EHP1 for NW 7.3 and deployed SAP MII 14.0.This was working fine.

Recently I have configured ADS SSO. My single sign on is working fine but unfortunately my MII menu page is throwing error as below:

"500 Internal server error"

Log:

"Exception occured during processing of Web Dynpro application  sap.com/xapps~xmii~ui~admin~navigation/NavigationApplication"

Can you please suggest me a solution?

From the logs it seems like somehow the MII Classes are not loaded.

Can you check if the MII app is started?

For this go to NWA on your server and then select Menu options "Operations -> Systems -> Start & Stop -> Java EE Applications"

Search for xmii.

Check all the apps mentioned in the list are started especially the one named xapps~xmii~ear.

If these are not started then start them manually. If one of them fails to start please send the logs.

Minimum requirement for EHP1 is SP4. Ensure you have this version however the issue does not seem to be related to that.

Hi SS,

My issue is differenr I guess.

I am using EHP1 for NW 7.3 and SAP MII 14.0 deployed on that.

Recently I have configured SSO with ADS.

Before configuring that all my MII application components working fine. But When I configured LDAP, the /XMII/Menu.jsp page throws an exception error as attached.

Also when I tried to open /XMII/Workbench.jsp" it throws the "Cannot process an HTTP request to servlet [jsp] in [XMII] web application" error in the NW log.

When I am using LDAP I am able to see the NW screens but not MII.

I am not sure what is the issue is. When i tried to disable LDAP configuration, all the screens are working fine. I am not able to figure out what is the issue is. Since after configuring even my UME user cant access the page.

Please let me know how to proceed with?. All my MII patches are up to date.

Although you didn't provide the system components listing, I can see from the trace that you aren't meeting the requirements for running XMII 14.0. See SAP note 1693127 for details. Since the wording in the note is misleading, maybe can clarify the SP requirement in case of NW731, for NW730 it is SP8.

If it is not meeting the requirement it should show error all times.

But I am getting this only if I connect to LDAP.

Although my NW screens are working fine when connected to LDAP.

Let me know if any update I have to perform?

In order for anyone to analyze the problem, you have to share the system component listing and the defaultTrace at the time of the exception as an attachment, not embedded in the message.

Attached the error.

I am facing this problem if LDAP is connected.

If I remove the LDAP configuration then my MII menu appears and all work fine,

If I configure the LDAP then it gives the error below. Even the UME users throwing the error.

Please let me know is that any other configuration is required or any roles missing?
