Message type HRDM_A in eRecruiting

Hi gurus!!

We are implementing our eRecruiting system outside of our HCM system. The type of message we need to use is HRDM_A because of the infotypes we need to transfer via ALE. But when we verify in our eRecruiting system, this type of message doesn't exist.

I have two questions:

- Can this type of message be used in eRecruiting?

- How can we import a standard message type to our system?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Diana,

For the scenario when HR system and E-rec system are installed on different boxes, standard message type to be used is : HRMD_ABA (which supports only limited no. of infotypes)

If you are using the message type HRMD_A intentionally- to cover more info types, additional steps would be required.

Following wiki link will help you with further details:

Message types HRMD_A, HRMD_B and HRMD_ABA - ERP Human Capital Management - SCN Wiki

Hope this helps!

Hello Rahul,

many thanks for your answer!! I want to do exactly that, I want to use HRDM_A intentionally to cover more infotypes, but this type of message doesn't exist in my E-Recruiting system and I don't know if there is a way to import it, being a standard type of message.

We are also having some issues in data  transfer.

We are using ECC HR and E-rec system as separate.

In HR system

When I check in T-code WE60 in Basic Type field  F4 list it's showing below list HRMD*

HRMD_A01

HRMD_A02

HRMD_A03

HRMD_A04

HRMD_A05

HRMD_A06

HRMD_A07

HRMD_ABA01

HRMD_ABA02

HRMD_ABA03

HRMD_ABA04

HRMD_ABA05

HRMD_ABAWFM

HRMD_B01

HRMD_B02

HRMD_B03

HRMD_B04

message types

and  HRMD_A, HRMD_ABA is not showing in list.

When I check in t-code BD64 by clicking on Add message type button I am able to see the message types HRMD_A, HRMD_ABA  only

In E-Rec. system

When I check in t-code WE60 in Basic Type field F4 list it's showing below list HRMD*

HRMD_ABA01

HRMD_ABA02

HRMD_ABA03

HRMD_ABA04

HRMD_ABA05

HRMD_ABAWFM

HRMD_B01

HRMD_B02

HRMD_B03

HRMD_B04

But it's not showing HRMD_B and HRMD_ABA message types.

When I check in t-code BD64 I am able to see HRMD_B and HRMD_ABA message types only.

Is it standard behaviour of EHP5 systems.

we are using ECC6.0 EHP5

and E-Rec 605.

in HR system we have E-rec component also but not activated.

in E-Rec server we have only E-Rec component.

Hello Shankar,

I think you are looking at it wrong, The HRMD_ABA05 it's not a message type, it actually is a Basic type which is linked to the message type HRMD_ABA. To see the basic types definition you can go to tcd WE30 and we60. To see the available Message types of your system you can go to tcd WE81 and to see the Basic types linked to a message you can go to tcd WE82.

For data transfer between HCM and EREC your best choice is the message type HRMD_ABA and you should use the latest version of Basic type available in both systems. You would have to configure this type in tcd WE20.

Hope this info helps you!

this message type only I am using in my model for data transferring. But when I am trying to do transfer the data it's not transferring pernr.

It's transferring only org.unit and position details to E-Rec system.

Hi,

Make sure your filter settings are ok for otype P. Check with TCode BD87 in sender and receiver system if the IDoc contains person data.

Good luck.
