Use 712/711 instead of 701/ 702 movements

Hi All,

I would like to understand if we can use 712/711 for IM storage locations as well ?

My understanding is 712/711 movements are used to write off inventory in slocs which are WM managed.

But, I have some IM storage locations and my client wants to use MB11 to adjust inventory. 701/702 are not allowed in MB11 but 711/ 712's are allowed.

Are there any disadvantages of using 712/711 for IM storage locations as well ?

you create an inconsistency in the process.

You are actually doing an inventory adjustment without having an inventory document. Auditors will spend applause.

Beside of that is probably no much harm if you do not have a WM active. But there is no need to do this with MB11, you can easily adjust the inventory with the same result with MI10
