Hi,
what can be the scenario in which a project exists in dpr_project table but not in /rpm/item_d table?
I have so many entries of such cases in my system.
Thanks,
Pavan.
Hi Pavan,
Two ways through PPM we can have entries in DPR_PROJECT.
1) In the PPM tab, We will select the Project Management and if we Press the Create button in the tool bar then it will create an entry in DPR_PROJECT, Please find the screenshot for this scenario where I have shown the Create Button
Note: In this case there will be no entry in /RPM/ITEM_D Table.
2) Now the other way is When we create an Item using Portfolio Management -> Portfolio Items
and then we create an item by Clicking Create Item Button.
And when we use Change Process Button after the Item is approved changing the item type from proposal to next stage and when we Create a C Project then it creates an entry in DPR_PROJECT with the same number as the entry in /RPM/ITEM_D .
Please let me know if any further issues.
Thanks,
Rabi

For every snapshot (version) you take of the project, a new entry in the table is made. Therefore, the number of entries can be many times larger.....

Hi Miel,
Could u please explain it a bit further.
In our case, when we create a project an entry gets created in item_d table. And when we click on the Project Planning tab there will be entry created for the same project in dpr_project table. So in this way there shud be entry created first in the item_d table, and if at all the project planning clicked the entry shud be in dpr_project. But in my case for few projects already there, it is the other way.
Could you please explain the steps u follow to create project with out item?
Thanks,
Pavan.
