Hi experts,
in BEx Query Designer we have the possibility to cumulate a measure by check the checkbox "cumulative".
In Design Studio I would like to switch between two charts to show the absolute values (chart 1) and cumulative values (chart 2) with only one BEx Query. I want to use two Design Studio DataSources (DataSource 1 = absolute values, DataSource 2 = cumulative values) based on one BEx Query
Example:
Is there a possibility to set set the "cumulative" setting in Design Studio (e.g. by setting in initial view or scripting function or other ways)?
Many thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
there is no function to change that dynamically, but what I would do is to copy the key figure and activate the mark on the copy. This way could avoid having two BEx queries, instead you can work with dynamic visibility and setfilter on the KF.
Best regards,
Victor

Hi Victor,
many thanks for your reply!
Eventually it could be a new function in future releases of DS. Because similar BEx Query settings (e.g. Member Display, Totals Display, Members in Result, Number of Decimal places, Scaling Factor, etc.) are also available for the Design Studio Designer at Design Studio Initial View settings at the current release.
In my opinion I think it´s a very good approach to make the basic BEx Query settings available in Design Studio DataSource (Initial view) settings. In respect to this concept we (as report and Dashboard designer) are able to reduce the number of BEx Queries in the system and can work with Design Studio DataSources based on on single BEx Query.
Best regards,
Michael
