Chart gallary keeps empty

Dear all,

I need some help to create a new story using SAP Lumira Personal Edition Version 1.15.1. with active 30 days trail option.

It is no problem to create some basic charts on top of my data (csv as source). On the “Visualize”
tab many charts are saved and shown in the chart gallery. Charts are saved
individually using the Save button on the chart gallery at the bottom of the “Visualize”
tab. But when I switch to “Compose” tab the chart gallery is empty.

I can’t find any hint about restrictions of the used edition.

Any idea?

.

Hi Sven,

Can you please check if you have multiple datasets? If yes, is the same dataset selected in the Visualize and the Compose rooms?

Thanks

Antoine

You are right. That was the problem.

Sorry!

For me this behaviour is confusing, as I'm using a combined Data Set.

Thank you!

Excellent - as I was typing a longer response ... Great suggestion Antoine!

P.S. This is a great learning article for people using combined Data Sets, thanks for the help Sven!

The problem that Sven faced is certainly something the engineering teams should look into.

This behavior is confusing for many first-time end-users of SAP Lumira.

Best regards,

Antoine

Sven,

This has been experienced before.

My recomendation is to:

  1. Save the file (File ---> Save / Save As...) to a location you can remember.
  2. Close Lumira
  3. Open the document
  4. Try to Compose a Storyboard again

It seems to be hit and miss, can you confirm your system settings -- we'll try to recreate this.

Hi Bijan,

Thanks for your recomendation.

I'm sorry, but a "save as" into a different file does not solve the problem.

I'm running Lumira on an Windows 8.1 64bit machine with 4GB RAM.

Please let me know if you need more/special informations.

Regards,

Sven
